Reveal and magnify: such are the project’s two major actions. Reveal what exists, of course, but also an “already there” as yet invisible to the eyes, a potentiality contained in the building’s very design. Magnifying the architectural heritage with discreet contemporary additions, respectful and the product of reflection.
The programme for the new Fontette is designed to lend economic support to the commercial town centre. As such it will:
- Magnify the quality of the heritage;
- Generate regional and national attractiveness;
- Strengthen the attractiveness of the western town centre;
- Open the place to the public (Caen residents and travellers)
